We are looking to hire an Apprentice to join our engineering team in Salem, NH.

We will train you. Training will take place in the Baltimore, MD Metropolitan area for the duration of 6-8 months. You will live in Maryland during that time and then relocate back to New Hampshire once training is complete. Our proven Apprentice program has changed the lives of many employees by providing them with engineering skills without the constraints of a formal degree program.

What is an apprenticeship? You will be given instruction with on-the-job training. One of the best things about it is that apprentices get paid while they are learning. Once you finish training, and achieve technical certification status, you become eligible for substantial increases in pay as you progress in your career, including bonuses. Our technical leadership team has a combined 50+ years of experience in this field.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Understands test schedules and work assignments.
  • Read and understand test plans. Including test setup, test modes, test messages, and test monitors.
  • Installs the equipment under Test (EUT) in the shielded enclosure in accordance with the test plan and current National TEMPEST Standard.
  • Verifies that the EUT is operational in all test modes.
  • Verifies that the detection system test equipment is in calibration and that it is operating correctly.
  • Performs test setup ambient measurements.
  • Performs detection system sensitivity measurements.
  • Maintains TEMPEST Status log book on the AIS.
  • Conducts TEMPEST Quality Assurance tests under the direct supervision of a CTP I or CTP II in accordance with the approved test plan and the current National TEMPEST Standard.
  • Posts the test results using the appropriate software for review.
  • Studies for NSA Certified TEMPEST Professional Tests.
  • Attends project/engineering meetings as required.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Electronics background preferred, but not required.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
