IT Specialist for Salem, NH


SUMMARY

End user, hardware, and software support to maintain day to day operation of corporate infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following; other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Triage and respond to tickets created through the ticketing system in a timely and courteous manner, resolve or escalate as appropriate and document steps taken.
  • Installation and maintenance of user workstations and laptops
  • Active Directory and Group Policy management.
  • Account creation; Azure and On-Prem AD, network folder permissions, mailbox creation, and system/user configuration.
  • Monitoring overall enterprise system health and security status
  • Network printer maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Windows operating systems administration and troubleshooting
  • Work with software and hardware vendors for support when necessary to resolve complex problems
  • Software support to include commercial and in-house applications
  • VOIP administration
 

QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Certifications:

A+, Net+, MCITP, etc.

Technical Skills Needed:

  • Windows operating system troubleshooting and optimization
  • Desktop/Laptop client operating system setup, config, and migration
  • Network protocols, concepts and equipment including, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Microsoft and Office 365 support
  • VOIP support
 

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to follow hardware, software and peripherals troubleshooting best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Must be organized and be able to manage projects of varying length
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
  • Strong technical aptitude
